Eddie Torres Jr (also known as Eduardo Torres) is son of salsa legend Eddie Torres and Flamenco dancer Nelida Tirado, and is an internationally recognized salsa and mambo dancer. Eddie Torres Jr is known for his incredible energy, body movement and incorporation of mambo styling into his dancing.
Eddier Torres Jr grew up immersed in the rhythms of salsa and flamenco. He trained in music and dance, studying piano and clarinet at the Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music and honing his skills in ballet, jazz, modern, and Afro-Caribbean dance at Ballet Hispanico and Peridance Capezio Center.
Eddie has performed at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center, collaborated with artists such as Tito Puente Jr., José Alberto “El Canario,” and Wynton Marsalis, and worked on major projects like Netflix’s Christmas Chronicles 2, Amazon’s Being the Ricardos, and Warner Brothers’ In the Heights as a principal dancer and choreographer.
He is a member of the advisory board for the upcoming International Salsa Museum and continues to teach and perform worldwide, spreading his love for Latin dance and music.
