Ricardo Vega is a 9-time salsa world champion and one of the most sought after salsa performers in the world. Ricardo has years of training in ballet, contemporary dance and jazz in addition to salsa, and is known for his high energy dancing and incredible acrobatic tricks and choreography.
Originally from Chile and currently based in Miami, Ricardo and his partner, Karen Forcano, have won virtually every top salsa competition in the world, including the World Latin Dance Cup and World Salsa Summit.
The pair compete in the cabaret division in which couples are judged not only for their dancing but for acrobatic tricks and lifts, which the couple excels at.
In addition to international salsa competitions, the couple have also been featured on TV shows including season 2 of NBC’s World of Dance competition.
In 2019, Ricardo & Karen were nominated for the Emmy Awards in the “Best Choreographer” category. They have won the ‘World Chorography Awards’ in Los Angeles.
