Studio JBA is a mirror-lined basement dance space in Nihonbashi that turns into one of Tokyo’s most reliable nightly hubs for salsa, bachata and social Latin dance.
Run by owner Takao, the dane studio offers a wide range of lessons and events, so on any given day you might find a beginner salsa lesson, a Cuban rumba workshop, or a late-night Omatsuri Mambo social packed with local dancers and visiting instructors.
The studio offers salsa or bachata lessons almost every night of the week, plus weekend daytime pop-ups. Schedule changes from week to week so visit the Studio JBA website for the latest schedule.
Most evenings start with a 7pm beginner class, followed by open social dancing until around 11:30pm; some events add live percussion or showcases. Cover charges typically range from ¥1,500–¥2,500, often with one drink included.
