Salsa By The Bay would like to congratulate the Bay Area’s very own Pacific Mambo Orchestra, who won a Grammy award tonight at the 56th Grammy Awards in the Best Tropical Latin Album category!
Pacific Mambo Orchestra is a 19-piece Latin Big Band from the San Francisco Bay Area that plays salsa, Latin jazz, mambo, bachata, and bolero. Last year they released their first album, the self-titled “Pacific Mambo Orchestra“.
They were nominated to the Grammy’s for the first time this year in the Best Tropical Latin Album category, along with other top Latin artists such as Marc Anthony, Los Angeles Azules, and Carlos Vives.
