Las Vegas Salsa Congress Moves To New Hotel

The Las Vegas Super Congress, one of the largest salsa events held in the US, announced that they will be moving this year’s event to the Westgate Las Vegas Resort.

The Las Vegas Salsa Congress, now in it’s 21st year, has been held every year at the Tropicana Hotel on the south end of the strip. However, the once-vaunted Tropicana is now being demolished to build a new Major League Baseball stadium (the New Las Vegas Stadium) in keeping with Vegas’ recent expansion into professional sports.

The Las Vegas Super Congress moves now to the north end of the strip, closer to the Wynn and Circus Circus, just one street away from the Strip on Paradise Road.

The new location will definitely be a change for longtime congress goers, and it’s now further away from the airport, but also puts attendees in closer proximity to newer attractions such as the Las Vegas Sphere. The venue should feel a lot more modern than the Tropicana as well, which at 67-years old was starting to show its age.

The event is sure to be a success, with many of the top artists from around the world confirmed for the event including Tropical Gem, Tito & Tamara, Jorge & Maria, Pablito y su Mezcla Latina, and many more.

It will be interesting to see if the event continues to be held at the Westgate next year, or if this is just an interim home for the Vegas Salsa Congress.
