I’ve been to this event enough times to know what it consistently provides. Aside from the easy parking and spacious dance floor, I love the free snacks and friendly people that give it a nice community vibe instead of a club. Dance instructors also social dance with everybody which is such an invaluable experience.

Great party! Its the right mix of dancers who know how to have fun and break a leg on the dance floor. The food / snack selection is excellent and so is the lighting.
Classes starts early and dance floor is open to social right after followed by performances and more social dancing.
Recommended for all levels.

The best Sala socials i have attended. Great crowd with all levels of Salsa dancers. Tianne and Ricardo are really amazing teachers and the 1 hour salsa class before the social is really grat. Unlike other places i have been, Tianne and Ricardo dont teach the same basic step every time. In all of the past 3 socials that i have attended, i have learnt a new cool move to add to my arsenal ;). Not to forget there is always a good potluck to keep u well hydrated so u can dance all night. I would highly recommend this social.

The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, no egos, and dancers of all levels come here. The floor is really spacious. You like those free spins? Here’s your chance! Tianne and Ricardo are amazing. Besides being welcoming hosts, the intro they teach goes beyond “1-2-3” basic and helps new dancers to acclimate and have fun. After the intro class and some dancing you can catch your breath while watching live performances! The lighting and sound are really high level, and there is plenty of food and drinks to replenish your energy. Did I also mention how easy it is to park there?
Amazing and huge dance floor, both beginner and intermediate dancers, potluck included and of course the incredible Tianne and Ricardo are there and teach a class before the social dancing begins. Get your salsa groove on!
Great salsa and bachata social for all levels from beginners to pros. Well attended by Tianne and Ricardo’s students including training and performing teams, and fans..fun and easy-going community of dancers. Several Bay Area performers take the stage at 11 pm. Great pick for a Friday night-out!
The dance floor is clean, huge and nice. The vibe is also extremely welcoming and friendly! Love dancing there!
Great salsa social! Easy safe parking, huge dance floor, great music and extremely welcoming vibe for all levels of dancers. Love dancing here Friday nights!
Lovely venue with a fantastic floor, good social dancing for all levels and potluck style food and drink. DJ plays salsa, bachata and cha-cha. Class before and performances during were both fun. Overall an excellent evening!
Friendly crowd, wonderful dance floor, and great music. In addition, there is plenty of free parking, food/refreshments to keep your energy up, and a fun introductory salsa class before the social. A great way to end the work-week!
Music was good, one of the friendliest socials I have visited in the bay area. The floor is great. The levels of dancing varied, a lot of beginners and a couple of advanced, cover included snacks, water, and someone said there was wine.
I am SO relieved that this social is now happening in San Francisco! I have always been so intimidated by social dancing at clubs and this event is anything but intimidating. It is a friendly, warm, accepting, fun party scene with dancers who never seem to judge me and encourage me to try new things and to become a better dancer! After attending this social a few times now, I now feel like I could absolutely handle hitting the club scene with ease and comfort, however I will always still prefer the DejaVu Salsa Party. Also, parking is so easy and convenient, which is a huge thing in the city.
The Metronome Ballroom closed last month.
They moved out and are now continuing their classes at other locations temporarily.
