UPDATE: The couple will be debuting on Tuesday, June 3rd.
Local Bay Area salsa dancers John Narvaez and Andrew Cervantes will be auditioning tonight on America’s Got Talent 2014 at 8pm PST on NBC. John Narvaez is the director of Salsamania Dance Company based in Alameda, and he and Andrew are 3-time winners of the World Latin Dance Cup in the Same Gender division.
The two will be representing the Bay Area and the salsa dancing community in a show that pits hundreds people from across the U.S. in a competition of talent. This is the first time salsa dancers have been featured on America’s Got Talent since 2008, when brother & sister couple Junior & Emily (also originally from the Bay Area) competed on the show.
