Overview:
A salsa and Timba party every Thursday night at the Shashamane Bar & Grill, hosted by DJ JuanLove. Monte Negro is a fun atmosphere, where you can relax, enjoy a great cocktail and tear up the dance floor to the best Timba, Salsa Dura, Regaeton, Bachata, and Cumbia. Salsa Rueda dance class with Sean Foster from 8pm.

I just want to follow-up on my earlier post regarding “Free Admission” and the $5.00 fee listed in the Details above. It was free the time I went. Perhaps the doorman stepped away for a while… ;-)

The place is small but the music and dancers are great. I started dancing the moment I stepped into the place. The DJ knows his music…and was able to win this Salsero over quickly. I’m not a big fan of timba but this place converted me! The bar is welltended and the crowd is there party. Nice location, decent parking and it’s FREE ADMISSION.
I’ve been going for almost a year now,one of my favorite nights out.I’ve been dancing for over 15 years and Sean’s teaching takes you from very begining to capable in just two hours. Of course leading takes a little longer but he gives you three or four new patterns each week so before to long you are a confident leader,unlike most classes you are lucky to learn one pattern a class. And because it’s Rueda you dance with multiple partners of different levels and styles. Although I’ve been dancing for years I show up at 8pm and stay for the party after the classes. The people are great too!
