Overview:
The San Jose Jazz Summer Fest (formerly known as the “San Jose Jazz Festival”) is the largest outdoor music festival in San Jose. Held every year in downtown San Jose by the Plaza de Cesar Chavez, the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest is a massive music event that spans multiple city blocks, and features musicians from around the world playing a wide variety of genres including Jazz, Swing, Blues, and Salsa.
The salsa dancing takes place at the Salsa Stage, and is one of the largest outdoor salsa dancing events of the year. The music spans the gamut of salsa genres from Latin Jazz to Salsa Dura and Cuban Salsa.
This year’s lineup of salsa musicians include: Avance, Visión Latina, La Mixta Criolla, Jesus Diaz y su QBA, Pirulo y La Tribe, Danilo y Orquesta Universal, La Máquina Insular, Ricky’s Villanueva Show, and the Bay Area Salsa All Stars.

Our Review:
Even if you're not a hardcore salsero, there's also plenty of other music too, from Jazz to Rock to Blues and plenty of cool things to check out.
The Jazz Festival does get hot if you go during the day, so bring a towel or a change of clothes if you plan on dancing in the midday sun. A foldup chair is advisable as well if you want to sit down and relax between sets.
The San Jose Jazz Festival is one of the funnest salsa events of the year, and is not to be missed!
