Our Review:
The music has alot of variety and plays to both the mambo and Cuban dancers, and I've always loved the look and feel of the bar. Downplayed lighting is a great touch, and close proximity to UC Berkeley helps to draw a younger crowd.

Good place! friendly club atmosphere with several lounge areas, bar, and the live music is great. Dance floor gets somewhat crowded. Dancers are varied from beginners to advanced.
This was a great venue when it first opened with a large dance floor, but it is in sad disrepair or was the last time I went. the floor was sticky and filthy and had not been washed since the club opened 20 years ago. the carpet was covered with gum and filth. It was disgusting. The dancers are mostly beginners with a click or two of more advanced people.
