Song: “San Francisco” by Alma Del Barrio
San Francisco– the City by the Bay. It’s one of the most unique cities in the world, but something we often take for granted living just an hour south of it.
We haven’t been able to travel as much we wanted this past year, so for this video we wanted to create a bit of a travel video right in our own backyard, visiting many of the iconic locations in SF.
Even having lived in the SF Bay Area now for over 15 years, there were many places I hadn’t visited before, including Coit Tower, Alcatraz, and the Tiled Steps. It was an experience getting to visit many of these places that tourists from around the world travel thousands of miles to get to.
For our outfits, we decided to go full tourist and picked up some letterman’s jackets from a gift shop in Pier 39.
This was by far the longest we’ve ever spent working on a video– almost 3 months from start to finish.
Choreographing was quite challenging, with as much thought going into the locations and transitions as the actual moves themselves. We also spent a few days scouting locations and finding the right spots that fit into the story.
We probably visited SF over a dozen times filming the project, with many long hours spent stuck in traffic, looking for parking, and waiting for tourists to get out of the way so we could get the shot. But in the end the long hours were worth it.
Please enjoy our tribute to San Francisco!
